Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could return from a groin injury as his side begin their Champions League campaign against little-known Czech side Plzen.
Kompany has been absent since his side's 4-0 win over Newcastle in their Premier League opener on 19th August but the inspirational defender has travelled with the squad ahead of the Group D encounter.
Fellow defender Martin Demichelis, signed from Atletico Madrid in September, is out with a knee injury and Micah Richards, Gael Clichy and playmaker David Silva are all out injured.

Czech champions Plzen, coached by former Czechoslovakia defender Pavel Vrba for the past five years, came through qualifying impressively, winning all six of the games they played in three rounds.
Defender Marian Cisovsky got forward to score five times - making him the joint-top scorer in the qualifying section - but he is a major doubt for the City clash with a calf complaint.
Radim Reznik will be hoping to land a place on the bench, but he must pass a late fitness test if he is to be involved tonight.
Manchester City Squad: Hart, Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Lescott, Boyata, Kolarov, Milner, Nasri, Navas, Fernandinho, Toure, Rodwell, Garcia, Dzeko, Aguero, Jovetic, Negredo.
