Eto’o: I want to play for Mourinho. Chelsea are a great team.

Just two months after Jose Mourinho revealed that he tried to sign Samuel Eto’o during his first stint at the club, the Cameroon star has suggested that he’d like to play for Mourinho again.

The former Barcelona star played for Mourinho at Inter Milan, and it now appears that the pair could reunite at Chelsea. Eto’o told reporters: “There is only one Jose Mourinho. I have played under a lot of great coaches – but there is no other character in the game like Jose.
‘He is one of the best coaches in the world – and we had a lot of success together at Inter Milan. I would like to have the chance to play under him again – because it is never boring when Jose is around.”
‘Of course Chelsea are a great team – and when we have all the offers on the table then I will discuss with my agent and see what my next step is.”
Chelsea have been strongly linked with a final bid for Wayne Rooney after seeing their first two bids rejected by Manchester United. Currently at Anzhi – but recently transfer listed, according to reports – Eto’0, at 32 years old, is hardly the ideal candidate, but would provide the Premier League challengers with significant experience. Chelsea’s latest’s Adidas kit has been turning heads lately but Manchester United’s 2013/14 Nike kit has been turning heads since its July launch. With Mourinho back in charge, many bookies have the 2012/13 Europa League winners as joint-favourites to win the Premier League, but that title challenge remains to be seen.
With a possible move for Gareth Bale suggested as Manchester United’s marquee summer signing, the newly-vacated #7 shirt could soon have a new owner. Some rather tenuous sources, namely ‘IndyKaila’ on Twitter had suggested that Eto’o could join Manchester United in a cut-price deal. No chance. It’s Mourinho or bust, for Samuel Eto’o
