Eto’o on Anzhi’s transfer list

Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala have placed all the club’s players on their transfer list including captain Samuel Eto’o, who was told two months ago his whooping £350,000 per week would be slashed in a third if the Cameroonian would remain at the Dagestan based outfit.
Beside 32-year-old Eto’o, other high earning players such as Brazilian Willian and Lassana Diarra have been thrown into the market overnight after club president Suleiman Kerimov announced he was to cut funding by 60%.
The decision to offload the high profile players is to allow the club to build their academy having failed to clinch immediate success from the 2011 project, according to officials.
