“Figurine”, a few years ago, award-winning producer, Kunle Afolayan is
set to raise the bar again with his upcoming production titled,”
October 1″.
The film, which is already the talk of the town, is
expected to gulp $2 million and, is set in 1960 against the backdrop of
Nigeria’s independence.

1, written by Tunde Babalola, is starring the likes of Sadiq Daba,
Kehinde Bankole, David Bailie, Kayode Olaiya, Nick Rhys, Fabian Lojede,
and Demola Adedoyin.

has been described as a psychological thriller, that tells the story of
a police detective in Northern Nigeria, who is dispatched to a trading
post in Western Nigeria, to solve a series of horrific murders.
According
to the writer, the film is a psychological thriller detailing the
activities of a northern police detective, Dan Waziri who was posted to
the western region to unravel the mystery behind a series of female
murders in the imaginary community.
He soon discovers that the
prime suspect is Aderopo, the prince of the community. Waziri, however
does not have plenty of time as he is expected to bring the Prince to
book before the Nigerian flag is raised on October 1
