Lagos – Students who wrote the May/June 2013 West African Examinations
Council (WAEC) exams in the North East would have to re-sit them, AllAfrica reports.
Charles
Eguridu, Head of the WAEC National Office in Nigeria, announced while
releasing results in Lagos, that candidates’ scripts were lost in the
violence that took place in the region during that time.
WAEC
decided that such candidates will have to re-write the affected subjects
without an additional cost. Insurgency attacks led to the loss of
examination scripts and WAEC were unable to announce the full results of
the examinations.
